Where did AIDS come from? Is that so ridiculous a question? For some reason it has been ignored by the scientists and the public alike, and one modern myth is
all we have instead. AIDS spread from Africa, where it jumped the species
barrier from green monkeys to human beings, specifically bestiality-loving
ones, we are told by the tabloid press. The more serious media offer us no
theories whatsoever, and the disease is just humanity's bad luck (or, worst of
all, divine retribution for the widespread evils of sodomy and drug-use).
Yet another possibility is obvious; it was deliberately made. In these days of
mice bred to develop cancers, sheep born that can produce human enzymes and
ever-lasting tomatoes, is it too far-fetched? This article will look at the
contention of G.J.Krupey that in fact AIDS was planned by the Pentagon and made
in Maryland, at Fort Detrick. More accurately, this article will be a condensed
rip-off of his original piece, and, because of the extremely serious nature of
the argument, I too will point you in the direction of the source evidence.
On June the 9th, 1969 the House Sub-Committee on Department of Defense
Appropriations for 1970 heard evidence on US chemical and biological weapons
programs from Dr. Donald MacArthur, Deputy Director of the Departmental
Research & Development. He claimed that molecular biologists would "within
a period of five to ten years [be able] to produce a synthetic biological agent
that does not naturally exist and for which no natural immunity could be
acquired." When a committee member discovered that no such program existed at
that time, he was also told that the reason for that was lack of money, not
lack of interest. He proposed an effort to develop "a new infective
micro-organism which could differ in certain important aspects from any known
disease-causing organisms. Most important of these is that it might be
refractory to the immunological and therapeutic processes upon which we depend
to maintain our relative freedom from infectious disease." Ethical objections
to such a plan were dismissed on the familiar Cold War grounds that the Soviets
might be working on the same thing, and that without the development program
there would be no defense either.
Funding was approved and the project went ahead. Yet often such agreements
merely made official what was already begun; the research done by Dr.MacArthur
suggests that years of work had already taken place. Outrage at biological
weapons production led Nixon to sign a treaty prohibiting their use in 1972,
but ratification by the Senate took another three years; six years from the
authorization of research into an AIDS-like organism.
AIDS first appeared in 1981, and was first known as "GRID", Gay-Related Immune
Deficiency,. Yet with hindsight, a possible case could be
made for its appearance in 1979. Two groups of gay men were first affected,
one in Los Angeles and one in New York. "Gay Plague" rhetoric appeared almost
immediately. It took another three years before an article in 'The Patriot' of
New Delhi suggested it might be a Chemical-Biological-Warfare agent. A New
York gay magazine made similar claims, from an anonymous source who claimed to
have worked at Fort Detrick, and who also claimed it was part of an official
exercise targeted at homosexuals, called "Operation Firm Hand". The Biological
Warfare Unit in question had, since the official ban on such practices,
mysteriously become the US Army Institute for Infectious Diseases, and by 1987
had involved itself publicly in the quest for a cure. Just good intentions, or
the cleaning up of an earlier mistake?
Krupey's article also details the method of release he suspects. In November
1978 a trial of a Hepatitis B vaccine took place in New York, and homosexuals
were given a different substance. By 1981, between a quarter and a half of
these men had AIDS, and by 1984 64% were infected out of just over a thousand.
Similar 'vaccinations' took place in Chicago, St.Louis, Denver, Los Angeles and
San Francisco.
The World Health Organization (which debated the possibility of an AIDS-like
virus in 1972) is also implicated. It ran another vaccination program in
Central Africa in the mid-1970's, and the areas of its activity correspond
exactly with the earliest recorded distribution of AIDS cases in Africa- this
story broke in 'The Times' of London, on May 11th 1987, but was not widely
covered elsewhere.
This story has been written uncritically, but the evidence for it can be found in the
sources that follow it. It would, I believe, be foolish to rule it out as a
possibility, particularly bearing in mind the activities of the CIA with
MK-ULTRA and COINTELPRO in the 1970s (while it was being run by everyone's
favorite ex-President, George Bush).
